"Klaus Schumacher is dead. He had begun everything in the south of Brazil with a 3-Meter antenna, which pointed toward ASTRA 19E. Similar remainder signals of German transmitters provoked Klaus Schumacher and in such a way became from "the small “antenna a self - build antenna with 8 meters diameter. During the day now the desired transmitters could be received. But during evening there were strong signal break-downs. Untiringly and usimg his own the determination Klaus Schumacher looked for a solution. Om his last visit to Munich he said: "…. I want to solve the problem, before I leave".
Before he could find a full solution, Klaus Schumacher died unexpectedly on 3 July 2011 in his 85th year. For my family, for the team and for me he was a friend. His patronages in Munich - paired with always new ideas - we all will miss."
