Thanks for that Llew ..
Sadly didn't help my bet ..
Only one winner at Kelso for me so far..

No use to me as I only bet doubles and trebles..

Just watched the lucky last there, did Seven Is Lucky. Was in the lead but dropped back in the last furlong.

I normally do 50p patents, no luck today, just a non-runner. Had one up a couple of weeks ago, 80 odd quid back for a £3.50 stake. (two Paul Nicholls + a.n.other) :)

Unlucky Llew ..
Yep no luck for me either having been turned over in the last at Warwick ..
That last race at Kelso ...very questionable ...
Dickies race ..
Sent off favourite ..having been backed to the hilt by punters ..
Late to the start ..
Questionable ride by Dougie ....held at the back for most of the entire rice ...
Lame effort to get into it close home ..
You know I love a good conspiracy ..
IMO it must be stressed .._that_ to me looked like a 'bookies benefit'
Not that I had that one ..mine was 2nd ..
But nonetheless ..I did take note of what I thought was a questionable race..
better luck next time Llew

VS, the whip fiasco is turning the sport sour for racegoers and punters. A well fancied horse gets two or three reminders early on, and the jock has to ration use at the end, with obvious results for the kind of horse that needs a bit of encouragement - it's disinclined to put the effort in and may well have won in a close finish.

Needless to say, I love the sport, and don't want horses coming back with any marks on its flanks, but the modern whip is much better designed to avoid this happening. Just my opinion.
