I wonder if anyone knows and could please could tell me anything about this station that I've heard on holiday in Cyprus. I could cleary hear NRG (RDS - NRG) on 99.0 over most of the island, it didn't seem to be a lift. There were no jocks, it appeared to be always automated. There were some french commercials. There was the occaisonal ID, 'NRG 99 FM - Lebanon'. But the output sounds like the the French NRG station in most other respects.
1. If this is the French NRG, what are they doing broadcasting in Lebanon?
2. If it is from Lebanon, what kind of power could they be using to get all the way over to Cyprus!?, I believe its about 150 miles away.
I did try searching for NRG 99 but nothing comes up, is there anyone about who knows about the radio down there?
