Easy enough Ku Band catch, but not a lot on apart from Sports Feeds - and they are now as rare as rocking horse poo.

Nothing easy about this one ..as most of the transponders use high symb + fec

miserable grey cloud at the moment..so fringe reception is mighty difficult..
Plus the Americas side lobe/beam for europe is at best 36dbw

Maybe more on a clear day ..who knows..
I did manage 2 channels from Enlace

Well it looks like I'm not gonna get much more at this location..
Managed to lock in ESPN Pacific Rim and Caribbean etc on 3800 V
Nothing to see as its all PowerVu (audio only fta)
But ther is another channel hovering at the edge
CTN International (USA) 4122 H
I've had partial images but the signal constantly drops in and out every few seconds..
I suspect its do-able and I'll give it another try when Ive accurately centred my LNBF
..using a laser pointer ...(on order £3 off ebay) ...and a section of 22mm pipe lagging ..
Just another daft idea I had ...
If its successful I'll post up the details...

..Well I guess I can stop wondering now ..as to if my home brew lnb mount is accurate when it comes to aiming the lnbf..

I was almost bang on as it happens ..so no hope of improving that aspect..

At least I know now..

ps -the pipe lagging was a no go as the pointer wasn't as good fit..
..on the other hand an old solder reel is almost perfect after I'd introduced it to some rough sandpaper.
