Advice Needed Receivers with the lowest Symbol Rate?

Sky FM and Radio 10 from The Netherlands are still functioning on 16 degree East ? Since I was not able to fix this two stations. My dish is 150 cm with H-H motor.
Thank you.

All ok.....both working with sound. :Y

Axas e4hdcombo with external tuner AVL6211

42E, only scans 2 transponders, out of the 4 with duplicate channels

11128V400.webp 11129V400.webp 11130V400.webp 11131V400.webp

CUKUROVA 1.webp TRT ANTALYA1.webp Scanned_Channels.webp

The scan was done using, the installed satellites.xml, at /etc/tuxbox

Code:
        <transponder frequency="11128000" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />
        <transponder frequency="11129000" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />
        <transponder frequency="11130000" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />
        <transponder frequency="11131000" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />

I updated with new satellites.xml, at /etc/enigma2 with the extra transponder

Code:
        <transponder frequency="11128600" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />
        <transponder frequency="11129300" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />
        <transponder frequency="11130000" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />
        <transponder frequency="11130800" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />
        <transponder frequency="11131500" symbol_rate="400000" polarization="1" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1" />

It only scanned the same channels, 4 sets of TRT ANTALYA 1 and TRT ANTALYA 2, CUKUROVA 1, 2, 3 was from first scan

Updated Openatv, to a newer version, same results, then i saw this post from @stephan94

Code:

I tried 11132 and got the CUKUROVA 1,2,3 channels again

Is this (147) the lowest SR locked with Octagon SF8008?
I went through the thread briefly and couldn't spot anything lower.

Hola, actually I and others have locked an SR of 144 as detailed below and posted in this thread.....Post #483:-

Advice Needed - Receivers with the lowest Symbol Rate?

My receiver used and referred to in the thread was the Uclan Ustym 4k-Pro Twin S2X but also secured with the Octagon SF8008 4K UHD E2 Twin DVB S2X..........no surprise there as both have the Silabs Si2166D tuners.

8.0ºw
12622 V 00144 DVB-S
Radio Tendance Ouest

Sadly the radio channel Tendance Ouest is no longer available via satellite. :(

This is my first post for many many years...and my first foray into satellite reception for an equally long time.
These days I'm old and retired and spend most of my time on gardening detail.
I still have some satellite gear...and my curiosity got the better of me when my curiosity about amateur satellite broadcasts on eshail 2 QO-100 pulled me back in..
but where to even start.
I built a new tripod out of 15mm copper tube for my old Cband 1.8m Alcoa to mount a ku lnb.
I chose the bullseye PLL ...and although the dish is now fixed (no motor) it still functions well enough on 26E to pull in a couple of channels from BADR.
I guess the next phase would be a suitable receiver for the very low symbol rates used ?
At this point I have not even received the beacon channel..but the fact that I can receive Al GHAD presumably I'm in the ball park at least.
So now I assume I will need a suitable set top box.
I have a few I could try but really I need advice at this point..
Tuner type..
box recommendations
low SR compliance.
Blind scan etc..
Please go easy on me as I've probably forgotten more than I ever knew lol
DXing is of no real interest to me these days...but being able to snoop on amateur satellite TV has stirred something in me that I assumed was long dead.
rgds 2 all and particularly anyone who remembers this old fart..
;)

Nice to read your dulcet tones again VS, may it continue now more often :Y .

Great to hear you’ve still got the satellite bug. I am sure you’ll have QO-100 sorted out before long. Good luck with the setup.

Wow, nice to have you back!!
Many thanks for the welcome Scopus.
I lost interest in so many things including satellite over the years..and I'll explain why..
A sad tale and likely not unique.
After being diagnosed with MS life got physically much harder...but became harder still after my dad died..and job of taking care of mum fell to me and my sister..
She had dementia but lasted many years in our care..until she finally lost that fight during the covid era.
She died not knowing who we were...and basically an 88 year old child.
..I finally got some of my life back but now I too am old and at 69 in oct this year..I try to keep an active brain..as this imo is the only way to ward off the ravages of old age.
I remain eternally curious mentally though physically restricted by both MS and age.
I do hope others who have walked this same QO-100 path can help me.
Satellites and dishes I understand...the principles of this relately new venture I do not.
I only want to receive as I am not a card carrying ham...which should make the job easier as I dont need to transmit.
Step by step guidance is much needed to move forward.
I know a little about SDR but at this point a set top box may be an easier path to tread.
regards 2 all

The biggest welcome back 'Vipersan'......your message made my day......remember all too well your previous events with life. A legend here so best wishes from me and sure many more here looking forward to your continued posts. :-applause

Evan, welcome back and at 69 years you are not too old to learn something new, or different. In your region a 1.2m dish is more than is needed for reception, the issue with most members is a misunderstanding on how to get the frequencies under 10.700 MHz

Have you looked at the Es'Hail 2 section ?

many thanks CH ...I didn't even know there was a dedicated section...
TBH it will take a while for me to become familiar again.
So much has changed including the annoying adds between or over posts.
I can tollerate them as long as I can shut them down..but sadly not always possible at least on my pc that is.

So I obviously have much reading to do on this subject...which is going to take some time for me particularly as my eyesight aint what it was.
I have however managed to find the last TBS unit I bought before I closed a chapter on the hobby.
Does anyone think this will be suitable ..and if so which software (preferably windows) would be best for reception of QO-100.
gotta start somewhere.
The unit is a TBS5927 professional grade usb single tuner input.
I await replies with interest.
