However, the target had to be set around 250kHz low. It also helped setting search to DVB-S. With the settings shown, it locked every time.There is something strange with the Minitioune. Most of the time the MER was around 8dB and the constellation noisy. However, reducing the input level with an IF attenuator and using an earlier version of software, the MER was close to the SNR shown by CS. It only showed the higher MER occasionally. Checking on a 4Ms/s signal, it behaved properly and the input level was not critical.
