My Echostar AD-3000IP is no longer working properly and I need a replacement. But what do I go for? :confused:confused

My shortlist includes;
Technomate 6900HD Combo
Topfield SRP2100
AZBox Premium HD+
Dreambox (but which one????)
ICECRYPT S4000HDPVR

I want to have 2 HD/SD tuners
Ability to record 2 channels at the same time
Network connections to backup settings and transfer recordings to and from my PC
Blind search
Access low symbol rates for feeds

Does the manufacturer provide regular software upgrades?

Is it possible to access BBC iPlayer?

Access to Freeview EPG?

Hi ! Firstly your AD3000IP has a built in 36 volt positioner, as far as I know this facility is not available on any new receivers which all use DiSeQc so you would need a 'V Box'or stand alone positioner to move a 36 volt actuator dish. I believe only the Humax range of dual tuner Freesat boxes can access BBC IPlayer, but that box although it is designed solely for Astra 2 can be used on other satellites. Think you need to advise what you actually want to watch and on which satellites first. FRom what you have looked at, the AZBox does have blind search and some EPG plugins are available.
Hope this helps.
