Sky Dish and Terestrial Aerial in attic space. Signals combined and distributed throughout house by RF (Co Ax) Cabling

Hi there,

I have my Skybox and aerials in my attic. The signals are combined and sent throughout the house by coaxial cable to the tv sockets. I have been using magic eyes on the 2 tvs I currently have to change sat channels and don't mind being able to view one sat channel ata time.

I have now built on and I would like to use a wireless tv sender to my new room. The problem I have is that they all seem to require a scart input whereas I'm using RF. Is there a way to convert my RF lead to scart so that I can plug this into the transmitter unit?

The built on room does have wiring for Sky Plus but the cabling for this has been brought to an other area of the house and I don't really want another Sky Dish in adition to the one I have already.

Any ideas, experience appreciated.

Hi, not sure what your trying to achieve by using RF. If you want the new room to use a TV sender, connect it to the sky TV scart connection output in the loft and the receiver part to the TV. Failing that, cable the room into the existing IR distribution amplifier.

If the twin cables terminate near your existing dish, just update to a quad LNB, job done.

Thanks never thought of putting the wireless tv sender into the attic alonside the skybox. I'll try that thankyou. Rolfw - no the cables unfortunately don't terminate anywhere near the existing dish - it's a different part of the building - concrete roofs, floors etc. etc. prevent access. thanks to you both for your help.Rgds
