Message: <blockquote data-quote="Tony1A" data-source="post: 1091829" data-attributes="member: 400984"><p>Well I'm not familiar with that store you mention, but this shop I use is a cracking little place!  In my town we did have a hardware store, but it closed down last year after 5 years.  Shame, but it happens.   Just to mention, I have started soaking that rusted nut in some 3-in-1 oil and can see rust coming off already.  There is hope that I can still use those U clamps and will remove all rust from them with a rotary steel wire brush.  I'm also going to coat the current mounting pole with hammerite to protect it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
