Hello all, have a new Samsung Tv.

I need a Recording device that is easy to connect, small in size as possible, and is able to use usb or HDMI.

Thanks for any replies, gepuk

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Most TVs these days will allow a standard USB memory stick to work as a recorder. The larger the size the more you can record of course, but anything larger than abouut 8GB should do for non regular use.

Remember HD will use up memory four times faster than SD.

According to the User Manual, the Remote has a Record Button.

Pop in a USB Stick and have a play.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...
My Location
Near Pontop Pike, Co. Durham
A portable USB HDD would do the job if you're frequently recording, they do need to be initialised on the TV (basically formatted into something the TV can use that also prevents copying recordings onto a PC) to use them for recording so that'll be one reason for why it'll claim there's no recording device available...
