Satdump software & wxsat reception

Hi,

I tested this out:

I use version 1.22 on a clean install on my new Win 11 laptop. At the startup it gets the TLE' s and in am able to give my lat and long in. So no error or whatever. I see in the firewall that Satdump ui is configured for all ports, UDP and TCP

Now in my other new Win 11 computer also a clean install ( tryed it on the Program Files map and also an install on the c:\Satdump as well). At the startup no TLE 's downloaded and the error saying port 80 etc....

I also copied / checked the firewall settings from my laptop to this pc. Also if i try to save my lat/long the program hangs.

The error remains and the Program tries to download it every 30 secs. It has nothing to do with the firewall in my router because both are on the same router. (Ip 's and ports checked)

So hard to find where things go wrong.

Any advise?

Check the permissions on the folder - (right click on the folder & go into the security tab). Set user permissions for full control) It sounds like its got restricted permissions on the folder

Yes, one problem solved. I can now save my settings. One problem of the error still remains.
 
Check your TLE settings under the advanced settings, click on the TLE settings arrow, do your settings look anything like to ones in the photo below?

If not then try changing them to match, (click the save tab after you do) you may need to restart the program, also copy down what is there before you change anything.
 
Ok, i think i'm getting close. I use Weather Display for my weather station. Somewhere in Weather Display software i had a donwload rule of the Celestark website. Every 5(!) minutes. So i think my IP is on the blacklist.

Tryed it with my mobile phone and then i get on this specified webadress a clear connection. So thats another problem solved. At leat i know where to look.

But... now my home IP is blocked i think. Do you know if this block is automaticly solved?


What you describe in the Satdump software: I do not have those menuoptions. Ver 1.2.2 i use ; or am i something missing?

I use weather underground for my weather display info.

On the SatDump program go to the settings page, look to the bottom and select the TLE settings in the advanced section, it should be there.

I dont have those advanced settings either - Im running one of the nightly builds (1.2.3-9xxxxxxx)

Do you have the ""Advanced mode"" selected in the ""User interface"" settings???

No, that was the problem. Now i have. Also i have checked your settings compared to mine. And that is ok.

I send a message to celestrak and wait for the response. I 'll let you know.
 
Im getting close... I've updated the TLE on wifi and hotspot on my mobile. That worked. I also sens a message to celestrak, but no response yet. (Ip blocked i think)

I got some automated reception. What you think of it? No i also want is automatically processed and uploaded to my website.

Someone who knows how to fix that?

Everybody been very helpful. Thanks for that so far..

Great shot, good to see that you got things sorted out, I wish I could help you with the auto load to your web site, but that's a bit above my expertise.

An excellent first result - well done :) :) I dont think you can use Satdump to automatically upload to a web page. But there is software available that will upload files from a folder to a website. Not looked into it for many years but its certainly possible.

But it is possible to process a picture automatically by Satdump?
 
I don't know if this would help but there is an option in your weather display software for a web cam up load, look at the photo below in the upper right hand corner you will see this option, I have never used this option before, but on the weather talk web site someone may be able to help you with this if it will work out for you.

Yes i can use Weather Display, i use it for other files too. But can i generate automatically pictures too? I now have only the raw files....

You should have processed images in a folder - whatever you set up. You should get completed images in a folder something like this (maximum size icons)
