Probably the 137.9 MHz frequency - I dont think ponti is set up for GHz reception

@Terryl Meteor M2-4 is back on air so try for that one on 137.1MHz LRPT (symbol rate 72k)

4/4/23 1108utc NOAA19 37degree elevation west

Will try it out, but I'm right in the middle of transferring all the sat data to an external 1TB hard drive, it was filling up the "C" drive.

Have to change the SatDump directory's to see the new "E" drive, so after that's done will try it out.

It takes a while to transfer 138 GB of data, even with a USB 3.0 interface.

OK something funny happened, now every-time I try to run satdump it crashes, deleting and starting all over.

OK something is way out of wack here, every time I start to decode any of the Meteor satellites the satdump program crashes.

I took this screen shot just before it crashes, you can see that I'm not getting a down-link signal.

Good looking decode, hey can you post a screen shot of your satdump settings for the Meteor satellites, I may have something set wrong if the program only crashes on those satellites.

I'm getting some very nice decodes from the NOAA satellites, here is the latest one from NOAA-18.

avhrr_3_ch1a1.jpg

I do have a bit of noise on the top end, but other then that is good.

I still get crashes when trying for the Meteor satellites, so have had to take them out of the tracking.

That's why I need some input on the settings.

OK, I have an idea on what may be happening with the Meteor satellites, this all started when I added the external hard drive, I have as test switched the directory's back to the "C" drive to see what happens, next pass of Meteor 2-4 is at 21:16 UTC.

Crud, well how is 2-3?

As I'm having problems with the new SDR receiver, can't get above 1.2 GHz.

Do you use F32 on the decode?

Live decode - I dont bother with recording it - just let it do its thing. The images are good enough for what I want atm. When Ive got more time I;ll have a play with recording it too & doing extra post processing.
