Is it possible to feed two receivers (Tech 1500 and a Sky box) from one lnb cable via a splitter. I don't mean to watch both on 2 TV's but just to have either/or in one TV with some kind of switch?

It is possible with an AB switch, but not very practical, as the Sky box needs to be permanently connected for it to receive the over the air updates.

The SPS - Smart Priority Switch - might do the job.

You would have to configure it to default to the Sky box when the TM1500 is turned off.

As rolfw says you would have to park the dish on 28°e when you are not using either box to ensure your Sky card is updated.
