I'm thinking about adding a motor to my satellite system. The most commonly available seem to be made by Motec Technomate and Foretec. Are they much the same or are some better than others?

Out of those three, the only company to make motors is as far as I know Moteck, the others are re-badged. I have had very few problems with the many Motecks installed over the past few years.

The Fortecs are reboxed STABs.
Currently got an HH90 with a Triax110cm on it, it hasn't fallen apart yet.:-rofl2

The Technomate motors are manufactured by Moteck I believe.

I enquired about Technomate motor and it doesn't look like a Moteck made, but apparently by unknown motor manufacturer and they just put the Technomate name on it.
Just like Dark Motor.

Post #10 thinks it a Moteck, but where is the proof?

Thanks for your thoughts. It would appear that the Motek is the safest option

Do check the hardware limits on it b4 you you get it up, I found the last one were set to 50e ~ 50W ....well within receivable satellite but well it's worth a check and adjustment.......:D
