I bought my sky line dish and have finally got it to work, but most of the channels are scrambled. They are all listed on the box, so assumed I would have more than is available. Is there anyway I can unscramble these channels (ie channel five, disney channel, discovery channel etc). It is a Skyline DSR 4000. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Not a chance!

Those channels are on the Sky Platform and encrypted in NDS.

You need a valid Sky card, and a receiver that will read it.

Eg Sky Digibox, Dreambox,Vantage,Octagon etc.

thanks for your help with that, I must admit, I'm pretty annoyed they listed all them channels as if they could be recieved and now to find out only basic channels are available. Am tempted to return the dish!!

Thanks a lot.

Was that from B&Q?

Did it actually list Channel5, Discovery channel, Disney channel as channels the receiver could receive?

If so, I think you have a right to take the whole lot back.
