Scrambled Channels

I finally got my system to work but now can't select certain channels.
My Sky Channels are all locked as pay per view, and so are such channels as Comedy Central etc.
Has anyone any thoughts on what the likely causes are?

What satellite is best to get SKY TV on? My system can pick it up on ASTRA 2.8e but the channels are scrambled.

Hi, no point starting a new thread asking the same type of questions so merged threads.

The satellite is Astra2/Eurobird 28e and subscription channels will require a sky box and valid subscription. Your profile is indicating a TM5400?

Its 28E not 2.8E

And of course they are locked - you need a valid subscription to watch them

No subscription = you watch the free stuff.

I'm such a newbie at this, all the gear was in the house when I moved in. I expected to just switch it all on and tune in. I'll have to hook up my old Sky box and sign up for Sky again then.
