Hi folks,

I tried to upload version 3.4.10 firmware to a DSN 8080 (which is a clone of the Yumatu MX combo) and now the receiver is basically dead.

I had 3.3.51 before.

It's not responding to the remote, and doesn't accept new uploads. Just the green "signal" led is on, even the "power" led is off.

Can I do something besides look for professional service?

Thanks!

You can try disconnecting from the power supply for 24 hours then see what happens, however more than likely you are looking at a jtag scenario and that could be difficult as it is not a very well known stb and a clone as well.

jtag means some kind of hardware reset, I presume...

Not exactly, there is lots of information about jtagging on the forum just do a search for it, however when the manufacturer builds the units from a bunch of parts he has to flash the unit on specific connectors on the circuit board to get the unit obeying a command structure and thus being able to load a workable image/operating system. Getting hold of this and the details of connection points will not be easy if they are not already in the public domain.
