Hi, I'm after some advice/guidance. I'm trying to align my sky dish to 13e with no luck so far. The pictures below show my sky dish mounted on a pole above the gutterline and the los for 28.2e and 13e from dishpointer. The problem I have is the ladders I have aren't long enough or sturdy enough to get right up to satellite so I think the problem I'm having is with the elevation. I'm basically having to work from the kitchen roof you can see about on level with the back upstairs window. I can swing the pole round easily to adjust the azimuth but I have to take the pole down to adjust the elevation. The satellite being a sky dish was aligned fine on 28.2e. I initially took the pole down and raised the elevation just a touch. The bracket was Raven branded and didn't have any elevation scale on it or even much room for asjustment. I hooked up a sat finder and opened the antenna setup on my openbox and swept around. I found that I could get a 84% strength 80% signal on 28.2e and a 80+% strength 65% signal on 19.2e which proved fine for scanning for channels and viewing. However I just can't find 13e. I took the pole back down and moved the elevation higher but now can't pick up 28.2e or 19.2e. Is it a case of having to persevere taking the pole down and adjusting the elevation until I get it right? Is there anything I can do to make things easier? Is there anything I should look out for with regard to receiving hotbird 13e on the openbox? As I noticed when I found 19.2 the signal strength was showing for several different sats even though it was 19.2e but 13e didn't register the signal? Think I've been bitten by the bug as I've got a strong desire to find all the satellites and channels out there. I will probably look to get a motorised set up with a better box in the future but would quite like to get 13e now without any outlay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Richy
