HI.

Just moved into a block of terraced houses where it appears that there is a centralised SAT system. I can see one big dish on the roof and it's likely pointed to ASTRA 28.2 (SKY).

I have a Technomate TMS 1000D that I would like to connect to the system to see the free view channels. However, I don't know much about these distributed systems and don't know what settings to use for the satelite configuration. Is it like having your own dish or do I need to change some setting in the installation menu. Tried plugging in but nothing. No signal.

Anyone can point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Welcome,

Assuming the dish is set up on 28e and all is ok with the dish/IRS system.
Cable in the receiver to the wall outlet plate.
On the receiver, goto satellite setup and find and select Astra2/Eurobird (28e).
Set the receiver to scan.
Start viewing.

Might be an idea to check with others that all is ok with thier systems to be sure.

Thanks.

That's what I thought. But wouldn't you expect to see the signal indicator go to green when you set on Astra 2?

Cheers

A couple of points to note:

> Make sure the transponder your reading off the signal on Astra2 is active, try several 10.714 is one for example.

> Check and make sure the LNb is set to 'Universal' 9750/10600

> Check connection between wall outlet and receiver.

> Finally ask neighbours if thier systems are ok

> If all ok above, then check against another receiver
