Hi, this is two different systems. One being distribution at I.F and another at RF. A multiswitch will distribute uhf/vhf and satellite IF to all points.

Possible to send a separate satellite IF feed to the two sky receivers along with uhf/vhf and then feed into the switch. This will deliver the modulated sky RF to other points although IR control won't work. There are other option to allow IR control.

so there isnt a multiswitch that combines the two? so i can have one sat feed to each room, one uhf, one vhf and watch sky from the two boxes and control them via a magic eye?
thanks

If you only need two satellite IF feeds than you don't need a multiswitch. Multiswitches are mainly for satellite IF distribution.

A Proception Starbox would certainly do what you want for just one Sky receiver, though I expect there are ways of plumbing another one into the system.

Multiswitches don't have an IR return path.

Also, why are you specifying 2 $ly HD boxes to play around the house? It is extraordinarily difficult, if not impossible, to pipe HD around the house - the best you can hope for is an SD signal around the house. Unless these HD boxes are feeding HD ready TVs directly as well then you don't need HD boxes.

A multiswitch alone is not going to work, as others have mentioned above, the original poster requires remote control facilities for both boxes around the house.

For the RF side of things, an SPC4 combiner along with a loftbox will be required, again as mentioned above.

But if he uses a multiswitch such as the one I suggested he could have sky plus or freesat dual tuner receivers in every room in the house. No need for remote controls.

Yes, but I would guess that they want a choice of Sky subscription channels around the house (with remote control capability), but probably don't want to pay for more multiroom subscriptions and the extra box for every room. So a multiswitch to provide the satellite feeds, but a loftbox or IR capable amp to supply the RF.
