Hi, had my sl65 for about a year now. From seeing some of the posts am I right in thinking there is now a patch available? if so, is it still likely to melt the box or is it tried and tested? also, what channels can it unblock?

Yes there is a patch available, unfortunately it is by jtag method which involves making up a cable and opening the receiver, not very straightforward, but possible.

Is patchable and stable at least with the serial patch. The JTAG patch sometimes makes the receiver reboot on certain encoded channels (less than 1%)

With the serial patch you can't open n*gra2, that means no kabo, d+, p0l*sat, prm!ere.
But you can use it for T*P*S on hotbird, multiv* and med*park on hispasat.

The JTAG patch can open all the other stuff that the receivers normally open.

Hi, I recently got the details to make the JTAg cable and to be honest its all a bit beyond me, but seeing the last few posts I see you can get a patch without a cable. Due to a neighbours obstruction I cant get hotbird so I am stuck with 19 E, my question is can anyone tell me which extra channels I can get with this patch on 19 E, I'm really into footy so is D+, Taquilla possible? Also is this patch easy to do even for a complete tecnophobe?

Thanks for any help (I need it) Cheers M8s

You can't install the patch without a cable. If you use a serial cable you get no D+.

Only the jtag cable can get d+.

On astra maybe you can get a few extra french channels.

The serial patch is easier to install as long as you follow the instructions suplied.
To install the jtag patch you need to know what is a lpt port and a flash memory. If you know this I'd say you have fifty fitfy of chances of doing it only by following the instructions.

The french are not open at the moment. The only way would be to put keys in the emu. But u'll have 2 put them every 15 minutes to 60 minutes. We r waiting 4 the new patch. Also we don't have kab0, d+, p0l*sat, prm!ere.

We still have some channels that use old systems, and more recently we are able to have Cr!ptworks, except the music network channel.
