My Satellite Setup
Pretend to know what I'm doing. Only the clever ones rumble me.
My Location
S. Yorks
My son has recently moved into a shared house.
There are 5 bedrooms all with Sky TV installed, (Movies and Sport incl.), and each has a separate receiver. It looks like a Pace 440 when I google it. As we were a little busy moving him in I didn't really get much of a gander, and would appreciate if someone 'in the know' could answer a few questions.

1. Will each receiver have a separate card? - I noticed he had a pin prompt coming up when he flicked onto 'Sky Action'. I have read that he needs the last 4 digits on the card.

2. Where is the card if he has one?:confused I presume it's hidden behind a panel somewhere.

3. I have a feeling that his receiver plugged into an RJ11 socket on the wall. Is this likely, as there is no landline phone in his room?

4. If it is an RJ11, is there an adaptor/microfilter to allow conversion from RJ11 to female BT socket/RJ11, to connect a landline phone and Sky box (incoming calls only of course:eek:).

5. Will all 5 rooms be sharing the same landline and will meddling affect anything?

Thanks,

Yorks.:)

Postscript. The house has wireless Sky broadband, but the modem is not in his room.
