My Satellite Setup
Sky box in main room distributing to other rooms via 6 way amplifier.
My Location
Scotland
Sorry to go over old ground, but I have connected my system up as per the previous threads advise, (RF Out 2 wired in std co-ax (20Mtrs) straight to input side of amp in attic, then hard wired to 6No. rooms in the house)

When trying to watch tv either terrestrial or the satellite signal from living room, the picture is very poor. The system works perfectly with the existing aeriel plugged into the input side of the amp, we get perfect terrestrial pictures in all rooms, however when I connect satellite signal instead, the picture is poor and there is no terrestrial picture either.

Any hints/tips to try and determine the problem.

The standard arrangement would be, aerial to input on digibox, RF2 output to distribution amp UHF input, then feeding the other points. If the aerial has a masthead amplifier, the distribution amp is probably powering it, hence the disappearance of the terrestrial signal.
