Found a few pix of my homebrew QFH antenna ...which is based on the NASA design ..
Pics taken during the build ...test ...and final instal phases ..
..and no I didn't fasten it to the chimney ...I got a mate who unlike me ..enjoys p1ssing about at height

It can whip a bit in a high wind ...but part of the design is that the centre mast _must_ not be metal ...as this would stop the effectiveness of the ballun ...(matching transformer) wound on the mast ...
..and the antenna would simply not work.

Been up for a while now ..and survived various storms and winds..

Looks like a neat job there, got plenty of plastic pipe myself to make a QFH, just need the round tuit to get it made...
