Now thinking about an electrically-driven compressor ( I want, rather than really need, one!). However, having read this page, several issues/questions arise: - CFM? - seems like I need something like 10CFM for predictable use - Max Pressure (bar)? - I think I should get one with something around 8-10 (ish) - Tank capacity? - think I need a 50l tank because anything smaller seems to lead to pressure drops, and anything larger would be too big to fit somewhere in the garage (even a 50l one will be a "tight fit" in the space I have left available - at least until I get around to replacing all the old racking and furniture used for storage down one long side) and be too expensive. - Oiled or oil-less? - from what I read, oiled ones are more reliable longterm. - Brand? (the really difficult one) - I can buy a Lidl one (been on sale @ £119 for some weeks but still available locally) or another brand like SGS in Derby (only 2yr warrantee against 3 from Lidl, but the onsite reviews for customer and spares service are very encourahging, whilst my experience of Lidl support so is "far less so", and you can get this 50l compressor AND a basic toolkitfrom there for £119 + VAT = £142.79. So, does anyone have any thoughts or other suggestions?
