Nevertheless, one has to be aware that eBay (and "Amazon Marketplace"!)  sellers "come and go" with frightening regularity, and so "Caveat Emptor" very much applies! And also, that one can sometimes, and I have, searched, for, and found, the same items at established UK business sellers and at lower prices, and then bought from them.OTOH, I had to buy a couple of Parkside tools from ebay sellers as they were not then currently available from LIDL stores, and I am far less confident of getting LIDL warrantee service on those. In addition, those tools were more expensive than would have been the case had I been able to get them direct from LIDL, probably because quite a few ebay sellers buy lots of them from LIDL and then resell them "as new" at a profit later on when LIDL doesn't have them on offer.I've also got a number of Bosch tools, both from the Professional and the DIY Consumer ranges - haven't had any major problems with the former, but certainly have had with Consumer range garden tools! Again, nowadays, I keep careful records of what and when I buy their stuff, and certainly make sure I use any 14 (or 30 from Amazon) day return periods if needed - and then make sure I quickly register them with the Bosch online registration system to get any relevant extended warrantee cover. In that respect, I'm more likely to buy those from Amazon for the extended return periods and the, if needed, complaints route that (generally!) then comes with that source!One should also keep an eye on ALDI "Special Buys" stuff as it is often similar (or identical but for the brandname - often "Ferrex") to what LIDL "specials" are, but with the advantage (to people who don't live near their stores), that many items can be bought online and then delivered to you by courier - prices are about the same as LIDL, but are sometimes lower for clearance purposes, and items are often advertised for quite long periods (but may then be "out of stock" if you wait too long!).Final (I hope) PS: Before buying a tool from anywhere, it's generally worth searching on YouTube for "unboxing" and testing videos of that item, as those can give you a reasonably good idea of what you would be getting and whether it would suitable for your needs - especially w.r.t. items that are "buy now, or never" offers - as that could save both the cash and disappointment of buying an unsuitable item.</blockquote>
