I ended up calling out a satellite dish technician who undertook a number of tests and diagnosed a faulty LNB. So likely the very last thing that could be an issue and one that I didn't have the equipment nor knowledge to determine. 9 / 10 I'm able to fix things myself without the need of an expert, this was the 10%. But overall I do end up saving time and money on the remaining 90%. And as an added bonus, I picked up a little bit of knowledge on satellite dishes, alignment, receivers and channels.
