Spaun 6 port Multiswitch cold to touch

dear all
I have a new 6 port spaun Multiswitch which has all of its input LV,LH,HH,HV and 6 output connections disconnected from the Multiswitch, the unit is cold to touch were my other Multiswitches are warm to touch.
as i dont want to pull the unit apart due to warrenty would it be a faulty unit? does the multiswitch feel warm to touch when powered on for the first time? without any inputs and outputs connected

if something is in warrenty do not open it ever.
to check the switch hear is what you can do.
what powers the switch??
has a mains plug?? it should be pluged in
is there a pilot light? is the light on?
next take a volt meter and measure the hv or hh or hh or vh this is the power to the lnb
there should be 18 v dc on everyone
do not short it out
some multiswitches are cold with everything disconnected beacuse no load,no heat.

you should see 14 to 18 volts on any of the 6 inputs if the receiver is switched on.
and 18 v dc on any of the lnb ports if the switch is pluged in.
then if you get 0 volts on the 4 lnb ports and no pilot light the switch is bad and take it back and get it swaped out

i dont have any voltage from any of the 4 inputs to the quad band LNB V/low,H/low,V/High,H/High the MS is a spaun 5402NF with no pilot light , your suggestions has proved out the unit is faulty as the 220 powerpoint that was suppling power to the suspected MS was ok and is been feed from an APC UPS powersource which is also suppling power to the working spaun MS same model 5402NF
