Starsat - How to change HW Model?

Hi!
does anyone of you knows how to change the HW model from 2.10 to 3.10 or 7.00 for the model sr-x120/150/200CI (D) of starsat family.
Any idea what is the IC?

you can NOT change the hardwareversion,the receiver will not work
you can change only the modelversion exmpl. E224 into E227

in another forum i read that this is possible!in EUA, the starsat dealers use to upgrade the stb from 2.10 to 3.10 or 7.00 for a certain amount of money.also i know that they change smthng called ...IC. does anyone else kknows smthng more. i guess the reason that they dont support more the model 2.10 is that....:cool:

I have the same problem: before I have SRX-150D with Model ID: E124, yesterday a friend of mine bought same box with me but I cannot upload all latest software that I loaded to my box because it tells me that the new box' model ID: E125.

Anyone can help me for this? :-rofl2

you can use EM-EDIT V2.5

if you want to change the modelversion hit "reset receiver"

if you need an arabic version just reply and i will send to you
you can allso try this site for an alternative

AN ANSWER THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, QQQQQ!!!

PLS CAN YOU GIVE ME MORE DETAILS, HOW CAN I UPGRADE THE FLASH MEMORY FROM 1M (NOW) TO 2 M AS U DESCRIBE ABOVE?

I HAVE READ THAT FOR THE MODELS SR-X150D THIS IS POSSIBLE!

PLS TELL ME BECOUSE IM GOING TO THOUGH MY STB AT THE RUBISH NEXT WEEK!!!!:-bash

also supporting the aboves, i have managed to upload the sw for the 2m flash memory versions (3.10) but the sw stuck in the phase "pls wait" and it can not finish the full uploading!i understand that this is matter of the low flash memory now, 1m(2.10).

so guys how to change it, so i can upload the sw for version 2m (3.10 or 7.00)
