Quite easily, they encrypt them and you require a decoder to view the channels.

- No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

That's how On/ITV DIgital Used to and TopUpTV currently work, it's not that different to how we get pay TV via satellite, it's just the transmission technique's different...

Hmm..i know about TopUp TV. Setanta Sports and Freeview are all related to terrestrial TV..but if u could plz help me out with the technical stuff..(i need it for my project work!)..may some place whr i could figure that out from..
