Hi,

Been using dreamboxes for some years (plenty of support and help setting up) and i decided to build a HTPC system, its a well specced system, intel g840 dual core @ 2.80, 4gb of ddr3 ram and an radeon HD6570 graphic card, im running XBMC and this system plays EVERYTHING flawlessly. So i wanted to intergrate my cs into the HTPC system, i have managed to get FTA running but there is an awfull framskip issue every 2 seconds, i am using dvb viewer pro to try out the card but i am reluctant to pay for it unless it does the job..it was a nightmare just finding out how to use/get HADU up and running and have been blindly following someones advice on what to do, although i have picture its is crap...is it the hardware ? is it using my GPU to its full potential ? i really need a good starting point to get the best out of this, any help greatly appreciated.

Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

Could try Oscam for Windows as your cardserver. What are you using to read your smartcard? (presumably for other channels beside FTA ones).
Can't help with the HTPC side, as I only use the PC with DVBViewer Pro and Oscam/ACamd for channel viewing.

The HTPC is essentially a pc, i am running windows 7 on it and i am just trying to get the card going well with dvbviewer or anything else before i look to intergrate it into XBMC.

hmmm..card server ? i was previously sharing my brothers card on the dreambox, i intend to do the same with this so i dont physically have something reading a card, i have a plugin installed in dvbviewer pro called HADU, i assume thats a card server ?...the stuttering is with FTA channels so if thats sorted i am sure it will be fine for the encrypted channels when i get round to getting them going
