A new camp commander was appointed and while inspecting the place he saw two soldiers guarding a park bench. He went over and asked the guards why they were there.
"We don't know, sir. The last commander told us to do so and so we did. It's some sort of regimental tradition!"
The new commander searched for the previous commander's phone number and called him to ask why he wanted guards on this particular bench.
"I don't know. The previous commander had guards and so I kept the tradition."
Going back another three commandeers he found a now 100-year old retired General.
"Excuse me sir. I'm now commander of the camp where were sixty years ago. I've found two men assigned to guard a bench and nobody knows why. Could you please tell me more about the bench?"
"What!" replied the General, "Is the paint still f*****g wet?"
