Hello everyone After all the help that I received, I thought that I should report the outcome. I decided to buy an Opentel UHD 4000 receiver which is certified by Tivusat and can deal with transmissions in 4K (not that there are very many of those). Amazon did not have it in stock on its Italian site and I was concerned by the long wait. The Customs delays after Brexit also worried me. Therefore, I bought it from Pulsat.com here in the UK. I found the service that they provided to be very good. Setting up the box was relatively easy. However, I did not find it as intuitive as my two previous Technomate boxes or my earlier Humax one. Activating my 4K card was simple because I have my own codice fiscale. The box also worked with my previous card! Having each of them installed in the two slots did seem to create a problem for the 4K one. A call to Pulsat got over the difficulty. I had to reactivate the 4K card in the absence of the old card. Since then, everything is working smoothly and I am keeping my fingers crossed for the future! The Opentel box gives access to the Raiplay service. The only drawback is that much of the content is unavailable outside Italy for copyright reasons. There is a bit of lag on changing broadcast channels, which is slightly irritating and the box is also slow to power up after it has been switched off. Watching the limited range of 4K channels was a revelation on picture quality but not on the entertainment value of the content. For now, I have kept my Technomate 5402. I connected it to the redundant cable from the time when I had the dual tuner 7102 HD and installed it in the bedroom. However, I would like to buy a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver to allow us to watch the output from the Opentel box. I will post another question about that in a different area of the forum. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome; and the advice on this thread gave me the confidence to make the change that I wanted. So, my thanks, once again, to all who offered their advice! :-clap
