So, a few of you will know I was debating a new set up with multi lnb and ended up with a motor instead. Well, I got a technomate 5402 M3 as part of my new setup, and am getting my head around that before I rip the fixed dish down and motorise it. 1st thing I figured is it won’t do IPTV out of the box. 2nd thing I figured is there’s a lot of different patches, each with pros and cons. 3rd thing was it’s probably not worth the hassle of patching to do IPTV, and I should just get a stand alone unit for that, and keep the 5402 standard. Finally I figured the 5402 has had its day. Seems a decent enough unit for what it is (sub £100). Am I right to not bother setting up for IPTV, and if I should, what patch would be best to use? All the reading about patching is making my head spin! it shipped to me with V1.44, and the tmonline update feature won’t connect to the server. All advice and knowledge welcome and appreciated
