later on today, I am getting my motorised satellite system installed, this is the setup I'm planning

80cm Orbital Dish with a Twin LNB (0.2db) on a Fortec Star DiSEqC 1.2 USALS motor, motor will be connected to a Dreambox DM 500 S in my downstairs room and the 2nd connection from the LNB to a Technomate TM1000D which will be in my upstairs bedroom

will this work??

Of course. Only slight inconvenience is that both receivers have to share the same satellite position that the Dreambox is currently fixed on.

Hi,Not sure if the DM500S has an rf output connector, but this would be useful as then you could use a remote extender to change satellites from upstairs.
