Hi,
I'm looking to buy a receiver which has 2 tuner and 2 outputs, so i can connect a television to one output and a DVD recorder to the other output. This is, so i can watch to one channel, and record from another channel.
I'm new to the whole satellite-thing, so i don't know if this is possible or not.

Thanks

Don't think that there are any capable of outputting two programmes at the same time. There are however, several with twin tuners and PVR facilities, so you record one channel whilst watching another, but transfer the recorded programme to DVD at a later time.

Have a look at Pulsat one of our advertisers in the banner at the top of the forum, they carry Dreamboxes, Relook receivers and Humax with PVR facilities.

Weird that there aren't any receivers which are able to do that :confused

Not really, there is a distinct difference between recording one thing and outputting another and outputting two different things at the same time, not an electronics expert, but would guess that it would require some pretty heavyweight duplication on the board.

Is this the sort of thing you are looking for?

http://www.satellite888.ru/catalog/tuner/arion/9400/test%20report%20-%20arion%209400PV2R.pdf

- as it says in this review of the Arion 9400 PV2R: "This box not only has a built-in HDD and two tuners but a separate and independent output for a second TV set!"

Yes something like that, but without the built-in HD

I think you just want two cheap receivers driven from a single dish fitted with a twin LNB.
