ehm, I don't know what if any problem there is ... but getting back to something more interesting : I have just bought and tried an MTI AP8-TFT. Some first impressions : - it comes with it's own lnb holder ( triangular for 3 legs ). No use to me but nice to have I suppose - it has a protective cap which is nice as I have been having some problems with spiders lately. The even nicer part is that I didn't notice any signal change on my meter with or without the cap - it costs 16.5Euros - lastly but not least, I am getting readings higher and better than anything before compared to an invacom twin, an invacom quad and an mti ap8-tw which I have tried on the same dish. dBuV, BER, SNR are all better. I've made some measurements on 2A, 2B, 2C, EB South & Fixed if anyone is interested, but I assume they make more sense only when compared between lnbs. For example 11778 : 89.1 dBuV, 1.6E-7 BER, 13.4dB SNR, 0.1Mhz frequency offset. - I had to remove the inline amplifier I normally use. This worked fine for the other lnbs but when used with the mti it destroyed the signal quality. Maybe it's getting too much signal from the lnb ? - I have a feeling my long cable run is adversly affecting the mti more than it does the other lnbs - best results seem to be just before the dishes focal point. So the 120-121cm focal point becomes 119-120cm. That's it for now.
