Update sky card(FTV)

Hi guys!!!I ask to you a little information about sky card updating(FTV).The update works every day? Or just at night?I know that the update is (usually) Liverpool FCTV channel...In Italy some users have told me that it may take several days!(3-4 days)I do not have a skybox...many users are able to easily update sky card uk ...

I ask youay or night to update?How long it takes?What channels?Thanks in advance!!!

There's not a lot to view on the FTV card... just leave it overnight and any channel and it should update.

No idea... it would probably update but most people just leave it overnight.

If you are reactivating a card my understanding is that it can happen at any time of the choosing of Sky during the 24 hour day, there is no set time

my concern is that you say you do not have a sky box in which case it cannot necessarily happen what box and software are you hoping to update it with?

Small curiosity: on average, how long does the update? There is talk of days ...

It can take anywhere from hours to days to receive the authorisation, just depends on where in the queue of data your card details are.

Generally people are advised it may take up to 72 hours, but often it's less than that.

But what happens in respect of a Card used in a Clarke-Tech box I could not say.

In my Technomate TM6900 Sky cards do not receive the keep alive signal, so need to be put in an official box every month or so for an update. But my software is a few years old now and no longer supported. Many Clarke-Tech boxes are very similar to Technomate boxes.

I put the card in the CT box ...I have tuned on LFCTV.Does not appear "scrambled channel",but only black screen!!It appears you scrambled channel when you're updating?

You will need a Linux receiver with Cccam to update entitlements on the FTV card, It wont happen in a Closed source receiver

The Skybox (Formerly Openbox) range are not Sky Boxes ................. they are cheap and cheerful generic receivers which will gain you nothing over your Clarke-Tech.

In fact, the similarity in names has been successfully challenged by Sky and newer Skybox (not Sky Box!) models have been re-branded as Libertview.

Ok,guys!!!I might recommend you a cheap box?I say cheap because I would use it only to update the card...(Skybox F5s?)

Last question: before I buy the box...i ask you:what is the procedure to update via CCCAM?I ask this because the box clarke tech implements CCCAM.
