There's no stopping... New version avaliable: 2016-12-28:

Improved GUI: orange fields cannot be edited, blue field can be edited
All numeric input fields (except in Setup tab) are now input through input form and values are validated/checked
Forgot to mention in the change log, that I improved the COM-port detection: if wrong COM port is set or no device present, a single error message is shown and then the software aborts. Upon a restart, the COM setting can be corrected. No more Task Manager! By the way, the software looks much better now, all input fields open a propper frequency/percentage/timer input form and the values are checked, so that the software doesn't abort or do silly things. I colour coded the fields: salmon red means that you cannot edit those values, light blue means you can click the field and change the value. Finally I improved the centre frequency input (forgot to mention that in the change log, too - need to add that later on). When inserting a centre frequency, the software will check against lower and upper frequency limits of the selected device and adjust the span as required. Example: Start Frequency = 1000MHz, End Frequency= 2000MHz, Span=1000MHz. You now select 4000MHz as Centre Frequency and what happens is that you will get Start Frequency=3600MHz, End Frequency=4400MHz and Span=800MHz. Why? Because you cannot have a Centre Frequency=4000MHz AND a Span=1000MHz, because the device only goes up to 4400MHz. That was previously totally wrong... I'm glad nobody complained... Hope you guys like the looks and feel of the new version - I certainly do! Regards, Vitor
