from 24c02 to 24c08 A1 a2 A3 can be used to set an adress but 2416 have the maximum size for this kind ,
so pin 1.2.3 can be connected to ground or not , it doesn t matter !!
try with an 2416 .
i dont remenber how to reset VBOX , it is something like push east and west before power up .24c16.jpg

I want to thank everyone for their help with this Vbox. However I think I must admit defeat. I have spent several hours on this today and discovered that the WP, SCL, and SDA pins of the EEPROM are being permanently held at Vcc by the PB0 to PB2 pins of the HT48R066 processor.

The 24LC16B and 24C02 EEPROM are directly interchangeable and I have a stock of about 10. If anyone requires these they are yours for the asking.
