This latest version doesn't scan the 12597 V frequency of the 15° W satellite, which it did in the previous version.

This is to test the Navy TV channel, to see if it can be viewed properly in this new version. In the previous one, nothing could be seen, although the BBC News and Navy TV channels did appear.

Not sure what you are showing in your post. VMA is a fantastic bit of software. If you have a TBS 6903 / 6909 have you teseted Skyscraper8 ?

 
Yes, it's very good software :). It covers many modes, such as T2-MI, DVB NIP, MPE IP... Other tools from other developers focus on only one thing, and to have all of this, you would need several different programs. In this case, it's all in one program.

It's a free-to-air channel, and perhaps VMA can do something to make it viewable on their software. That's why I made my previous post.

If Skyscraper8 works with the TBS5927, I could try it; otherwise, no.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid it's not possible to use the Skyscraper8 app with the tbs5927 USB tuner.

Like other DVB application developers, @fay is focusing his efforts on the new generations of DVB cards capable of processing more complex transmission parameters, such as cards with the STiD135 chip (tbs6903x/6909x or DD Max SX8).

For now, there is no other alternative for reception enthusiasts/amateurs than these cards, especially since the future belongs to IP stream transmissions.
(Regarding the latter statement, I hope @Fey will prove me wrong and also deal with other DVB cards.)
 
I've only just very briefly read about this amazing prog. Does it work with the 6903 card and also skyscraper8 ?

I am glad that I was wrong about using the Tuner 5927 USB with the Skyscraper8 app. The unsuccessful tests I conducted on some transponders led me to the conclusion expressed above(#337).

However, when I tried using the USB5927 on the DVB-NIP stream, on 12380 V, 27500, 5/6, 8PSK, at 13.0E, I found that this device can be used on this mux and can save the files it downloads. The signal must be strong, and the download speed must be fast enough to run those saved files.

Here is what the stream looks like on 12380 V with Skyscraper8_release14, and the folder where various files (XM, photo stream, mp4, m3u8, pdf) are saved, which dedicated applications can then use.

The 6983/6903 cards can also be used on this DVB-NIP stream.
