My old reciever clapped out over the weekend.......A satellite reciever for me is about watching satellite and not messing around with comuters.......I got the VU+ because I could see no other that appealed to me in HD and PVR range Not sure what you mean by a V box ??? If you mean voltage converter. No. A seperate positioner also old (Pace) and remote control. The VU+ is not driving the dish and I chose the settings accordingly. I am not having trouble getting channels if my settings were wrong surely the more advanced manual method where you have to make decisions would give me trouble. Thus far it has not........Even though I set up for 19deg when I tried to use auto the very first time all it would do is lock on to arabsat......... Trying to make auto run on the 19deg settings crashes the reciever. In fact I dont get as far as the scan itself........After I have selected the tuner settings a menu with 4 options appears. Asking for yes or no or yes to all or no to all......As I could not understand which option to select I tried using the "exit button" to go back to the previous page. However the exit button did not do that for me it just locked the reciever.........After about 15 seconds the reciever takes over with a sorry message and returns to loadin enigma 2 I have just cracked the puzzle of how to move the numbers......I am a retired person and don't mind taking time doing things the manual way. I just need to understand what the manual ways are..........Computer tinkering is not my world.
