1 litre of Sminroff red......£4.35 (that’s a 4 in the pic, not a 9) 1L of JD......£10

1 litre of unleaded petrol……47pence

Despite not being a smoker I noticed 200 Marlboro……£10.50

Made me realise once again how much tax really is on those things.

I took the picture in Gibraltar yesterday, didn’t see the Skyy vodka till you pointed it out Rob…lol.

They might even have Samuel Adams somewhere, must admit I have never seen it. But you can but all sorts of fun things, when I was there a few years ago I took a walk around some back streets, I soon found a TV repair shop, very different from the glitzy flashy ones on the main street. This was the kind of place run buy a guy with not much more than a soldiering iron, boxes of old equipment and lots of enthusiasm. Anyway in the window was a faded box for a device that lets you ‘watch videos in another room without all the cables’ (well worded something like that) on closer inspection it wasn’t one of the modern digisenders, but one of the old low power UHF transmitters, looked like it had been there for a decade, don’t know why anyone hadn’t bought it. Further up the back streets are the places that will ‘sort you out’ with a Gibraltar passport for a small fee, decided not to go looking for that with my camera.
