What could be a suitable Dreambox replacement?

I'm thinking of replacing my existing Dreambox 7025 with a HD capable receiver. However the DM8000 is out for me due to the ridiculous price. I was considering the DM800 but that apparently has overheating problems and is pricey for a barebone single tuner box.

My basic requirements are:

The ability to read and keep alive a Sky card
Ability to add a HDD of my own choice
Two DVB-S2 tuners
Full EPG and being able to time recordings off it
Streaming internally and externally

Come to think of it, I can already do a lot of this on my HTPC. The only missing element is the ability to keep the Sky card alive. I can watch my Sky package with the help of a suitable cam and card reader, so if it were possible to go the extra mile and keep the card alive I could in all truthfulness scrap my Dreambox as I'm not interested in card sharing or hacking.

Can CCcam be run on a PC somehow??

QBox might be the answer.
Just waiting for T_G to give his review when he receives it supposedly this month.

Hi, is the review online? I'm looking for this kind of product and I'd like to know the features of this box. Does it play contents from the internet, such as webradio? Thank you for your answer

I have a Cuberevo 9000HD which is similar to the abcom. I can't say about updating the Sky card, but you'll not go far wrong for build quality. The pictures are the best I've seen from any box I've owned in both SD upscaled as well as HD. Support for it is good and getting better.

I've not had a Dreambox to compare it with, but I would not describe it as the poor man's Dreambox, from what I have read, it is in many ways much better made box.

Very happy with mine m8

Hi, I've read the manual but QBox doesn't play webradio or webTVs or any content from the internet. I've found a product that does it all, can I post the link to get your opinions? (moderator question)

Hi
Actually, it does play you tube and other content - but development is not complete. But tell us the name of the HD box that you think is good - we always like to hear about new stuff.

I know that the name is a little strange, it's called BLOBbox...! I was looking for a state-of-the-art DVB-T receiver and until now this is the first that sports 2 1080p DVB-T tuners with PVR functions. And on the official website they claim it supports torrents, podcasting, streaming, has online services... this is the first decoder I've found with such a pletora of functions! Do you think I can compare it with other boxes on the market? And if, wich ones?
