Hey everyone

Please be gental, i'm new to all this Satellite talk and i don't know an awful lot about it.

I'm interested in watching premiership football but i don't want to pay the crazy prices sky offer it for, so what do i need to expericence premiership for years to come ?

do i need a motorised dish ?

is art the best solution ?

how much will a basic system cost ?

some films would be a bonus but if its not possible i could do without.

all help appreciated.

Depends on your budget.
At the moment there's quite a bit open on Hotbird and Astra, so your minimum requirements would be a Skystar 2 (a PC card that costs about 50 quid) and a dish with a twin LNB (one for Astra, one for Hotbird). for a bit more cash I would recommend a motorised dish (the biggest you can afford), this will allow you to receive channels on other satellites (Both FTA and certain encrypted channels). If you are loaded then I would suggest getting a Dreambox, these are a bit more complicated to set up though.

a motorisied dish would help as you can sometime pickup feeds for football games

art sports have lost the rights to show premiership football for next 3 seasons so its going to cost more there is however digitalb that show premiership football

basic system will cost around 250 as you can get the dish kits on ebay and then just buy a receiver and card to digitalb or whoever

If you have a motorised dish then you dont need a twin LNB (I gave that example for if you had a fixed dish pointed both at 13e and 19e).

Option 1 isn't motorised, so I would forget that one. (unless you want to fork out for a motor on top).
