whats the chances of picking up thaicom-3 with the following setup:

http://www.thaicom.net/eng-thaicomsatellite/footprint-thaicom3.html

Humax IRCI 5400Z (bought for £200 from e-bay seller said it was brand new and fully patched, engineer called it a grey import) believe it has s/w version 1.05.00+ on it. Engineer has setup Astra, Hotbird, Sirius and Hispasat satellites on it. It's motorised with a 1m dish, located in Surrey.

Merry Xmas

Sorry if this sounds insulting (to your wife) but would alternative Asian country channels be of any use?

Philippines and Vietnam comes in without difficulty in the UK

Plenty of Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese as well) with a motorised system.
