Hoping to have a chance to have a play with my C-band lnb tomorrow. I can see from 5E - 53E

The dish I'll be using is rather undersized for C-band but Im only wanting a signal lock to have a look at a few channels, Im not bothered about decent signal levels for bad weather conditions.

For me in my limited experience 20E is an easy catch even around at 19.2e for reference.

40°E was the only C Band I got on the 1M Gibertini but with no tweaking of the LNB. It was the easiest catch for me.

hi -
you have a good chance with - 20 east i think -- i have had a couple of transponders from there with a 100 cm channel master - in the past when testing with a "smaller dish" --- cant recall which t.p,s they were -- maybe remlap can advise which are currently strongest, on his 1.2
also they may be time of day dependant - a lot of the C band channels seem to be .

regards nelson.b.

40E is dead now so yes 20E is the next biggest signal although if you can squeeze another couple of degrees 3E is strong as well. Can't remember off hand which one, I think the linear transponder on Eutelsat 3A @ 3.3E

Express AM-1 lost her station keeping thrusters 18 months or so back so services are being run down as the inclination increases. I think there is a new satellite on order to replace AM-1

Installation now modified so its held in place with zip ties :D

This has allowed me to tweak thing so I can get the Saudi mux on 3884R & the AL Jaz mux on 4054L.

Its not a brilliant install but its allowing me to experiment.

Only these 3 muxes visible. No matter how I tweak it nothing else has appeared. Never mind, Ive enjoyed experimenting with that.

Now to realign the dish back from 20E to 16E :D
