I hope it gives me back my Cameras, which were rendered U/S after the last big "upgrade"

I hope this will also allow me to install the sdr driver on one of my pc’s

Imho windows updates over the last few years just seems to brake things, rather than fix things!

Quite!

Just had to free up some space on my 32GB SSD to allow the Update to install.

Well on the way now.

It ain't updates, it's complete OS replacements, btw it ain't an OS anymore, in Microsnake terminology it's "Windows as a service" ...which is an eternal string of testing and beta releases forced upon users caught it the tarpit.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Two laptops at work went through the upgrade, they appear to have got through unscathed, but they are relatively modern beasts (Dell and Lenovo)

The good news is I've recovered around 4GB of disk space, which is valuable on a 32GB SSD.

I guess the Audio issue will be resolved idc. Googling reveals this is a common problem.

Overall operation is much faster, which as we know is often a benefit of (effectively) re-installing.

Sorted this out .... Found an Audio Driver that Windows couldn't automatically update.

Happy bunny, overall.

Only friggin reason I use windows is for TBS cards, really should look into my options on Linux

I hear a lot of talk about headend, I do really like SmartDVB tbh

Is there similar to vplug, hadu etc in Linux

Took the plunge and did a fresh install tonight.

What an improvement!

Got rid off all the shite that Windows collects and freed up yet another 6GB of space.

Painless exercise, too.

It's almost as if you are advocating Windows to be superior to its Linux counterparts...

Gosh no!

Linux wouldn't have become bloated and slowed down over time
