Listen Up WSUS offline update not working properly

WSUS offline update was working quite well (and, yes, I did donate) until I tried an update this morning - the Update Generator appeared to work and download the required updates, but the Update Installer keeps throwing a tantrum by saying something like "ERROR : Medium neither support your windows or your office version" and then just stopping (in my case on a Win 7 Pro 64 bit m/c.)

Turns out that this is a known recent issue - see here forums.wsusoffline.net • View topic - ERROR : Medium neither supports your Windows nor your Office

Most of that is in German, and I got it translated by one of the online free translators but the answers don't appear to make too much sense to me as yet - and so I'm having to do the updates the old fashioned way!

So, if you so use this utility, then I would try it out and see if it still works for you.

Well, both the Update Generator and the Update Installer are already Version 10.9.2 as downloaded and installed this morning - so the latest ones.
(OTOH, the same thing happened when I tried previous versions, having declined the prompted update to the latest versions)

And, BTW, this was after a completely fresh W7 Pro 64 bit installation on a virtually clean hard disk - so very little "clutter" to possibly interfere with things.

Another "funny thing" now: as reported above and in my latest W10 post, WSUS off-line update did not work on the W7 Pro installation - but, just now, after I upgraded that installation to W10 Pro, then I reran the same Update Generator and then the same Update Installer files, and the latter DID work and seems to have successfully updated W10 Pro, but still waiting for the full reboot and configuration update process to be completed.

Interesting, nevertheless, and possibly indicates that the latest versions of WSUS off-line update have been optimized for W10 but that may have come with a glitch that affects its capability to deal with W7 installations.
