I know its probably not everyone's cup of tea but just wondered whether there is a chance that there will be any X Factor feeds knocking around? This weekend's shows are semi-live for Judges Houses and next weekend marks the start of the live studio shows.

A friend of mine (euro.sat on here) managed to pick up a feed a few years back and I just wondered whether in recent years they still use a satellite link?

Very doubtful. I would imagine the live shows will be over a fibre link.

I saw last year live feeds for BGT and XFactor from their studios on 10 east.

Yeah, I've not seen anything for a while, but they used to have what appeared to be an X-Factor SD backup feed at 10E. It featured both the main show and ITV2 aftershow. There used to be a similar thing for I'm A Celebrity too. Think the ID was something like ARQIVA ENC9. Worth a blindscan! Quite entertaining to see what happens during the ad breaks!

Me and the wife watch the X factor, I prefer the earlier stages to be honest, like euro.sat says 10E is probably your best bet looking at satelliweb.

Found it :)

Curious on it's actual purpose, I thought the studios had dual redundant fibre links to BT tower.

Excellent thanks! What is the service name? I've had to blind scan due to my openbox not liking it when I manually insert the TPs

Nicely found! I can't get bugger all with the 80cm dish, but am getting 73% signal with the TM and 1.1m dish :)

Nothing on the Greg 1.2, with the Inverto Ku/Ka but coming in OK on the 1.8 Channel Master with Invacom Quad

Nothing too much of interest during the ad breaks, unfortunately... However, I noticed that on the second audio channel, the crowd noise seems louder that the presenters mics, and there's no production music during the live interviews etc.

Also, I've uploaded a short recording of one of the ad breaks if anyone is interested. Excuse the breakup. I was only using a cheap USB thumbdrive - so I don't think it could keep up with the 22mbps bitrate! :D http://www.filedropper.com/xf

Interesting ID being Telenor, perhaps a feed for the Nordic regions??

That did cross my mind too. I even had a quick browse for Scandinavian TV listings to see if anyone was showing it. Apparently Telenor also have facilities in central London, so it might just be that they're using them to uplink rather than Arqiva/SIS etc?

The show gets broadcast on DR3 in Denmark on Sunday mornings. Not sure if it has any relevance :D
